Please read this for yourself and DON'T TELL anyone else (you can tell them to come to the website, but don't tell them why)...
This is your special reward for coming!!!
On Thursday night, July 31st, almost a week late, I decided to take (another) pregnancy test and very slowly the magical "positive" line appeared!!!
So... barring any issues like my sweet sisters have had to deal with (miscarriage), we're hoping to have a baby (though we'll take more than one) next April.
I just barely decided to tell you, because if we were to miscarry I wouldn't want to go looking for sympathy where I hadn't chosen to share my joy.
However, as you may remember from previous pregnancies, I don't really like to talk about how crappy I feel, so kindly refrain from asking.
I also would NOT like anyone else to know until I am showing. And no, I'm not showing right now, I've been purposely gaining weight because I read that women who are overweight are more likely to have twins and I decided that I'd "risk" the delight of two babies for the price of one pregnancy!!! But I just did natural things like eating yams and more dairy/meat -- no Clomid or anything crazy like that!!!
Just as a side note, it was at the last general conference that I felt a very strong impression to attempt to add to our family and I think it's kind of cool that I end up being due right around general conference the following year!
Thanks for reading. Remember, if you want to share this news with immediate family, have them come to the website themselves.
We're not telling our two younger children right now, either, as we're not really sure they understand the concept of not telling...
We love you guys and feel blessed to have such a great family -- you're awesome!!!!

Great news, Regan! How fun. I would have loved to have two babies for one pregnancy, too, and I was (slightly) overweight, but it wasn't meant to be for me. And it may have just about put Brian over the egde, anyway. He's having anxiety about another baby since it's been so long since we've had a baby around here. And he feels like he's getting SO OLD. Anyway, best of luck with the two ... and of course it will be great to have just on healthy baby, too.
OOps, I meant 'one' healthy baby, not on healthy baby! And I won't share your news with anyone. Does that mean I'm the first to know in our family?!
So now three of you are pregnant? I think that is fun. Richard keeps begging me to have another, well, I'll leave all the babies in the family up to you guys! Congrats!! Love ya all
Shannon
Shannon, I think that is wise. We're pretty sure 3 kids is our limit, and even that amount is making Brian pretty anxious. Saturday at Costco we bought diapers for the first time in 2 years! They were on sale, we we went ahead and got some, and Brian kept saying all the way home, "Diapers again! I can't believe it."
HURRAY, HURRAY, HURRAY!! Such awesome news, Lovin'Mama!! Didn't I do a great job about not bragging that you might be trying to have another baby?? Really hope you'll have a different experience this time, and maybe feel much better than before! And I certainly hadn't noticed that you'd been trying to gain weight! Sure love you!!!!!
SHANNON--NEVER say never!! How is your job search coming along?? I sure am excited to come and see all my Hoosier kids--only about two and a half weeks from now!
SEE YOU SOON!! LOVE ALWAYS...G/T
Job search is over for this year, but I learned something. To work at Burkhart, I will have to get into the district somewhere else first and transfer over. The bad thing is that the turn over in the district is really low. I'm not worried though. I will be working everyday at the Y! Abby has preschool and we are trying to get Elliott in. Too much to do!
